For a cargo trailer to feel like a home, it needs walls

Perhaps you’ve decided that a cargo trailer fits your budget much more than splurging on an RV. Perhaps you just like a good DIY project, or you prefer your campers in stealth mode (thanks to the lack of windows).

Whatever the case, if you’re converting a cargo trailer into a comfy recreational vehicle or tiny home, you’re gonna need some walls before it feels like something more than a tin can.

In our latest episode of “Cargo Trailer to Tiny Home” (I know, the name isn’t subtle), Brad installs 1/2″ plywood for the walls, then insulates the floor with styrofoam sheets.

Brad’s been in the construction industry for years, starting as a carpenter before becoming a general contractor. Which means Episode Three is chock full of pro tips. Perfect if you’re working on a project like this yourself!

In case you’re wondering, we live in c-c-cold Calgary, Canada, so we aren’t just relying on styrofoam for insulation — it was a two-step process.
